Power house Jhakri

Thanks to World bank for backing SJVN with the capital of 1000 crore, SJVN is the india's largest Hydroelectric power station 1500MW. Water source of this project is River Satluj which is a major tributary on the Indus basin. It is designed to generate more than 6970 million unit per year, its a joint venture of govenrment of Himachal Pradesh and government of India, with 7000 crore present estimated authorized cost or value.SJVN IS a Mini Ratna & Schedule 'A' company under the supervision of Ministry of power,GOI,GOI, incorporated in 1988
